Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro MIUI 11 Stable Update is Based on Android 10 Xiaomi pushed the Android 10 stable update to the Redmi K20 Pro just a few weeks after the official launch of Android 10 by Google. So the MIUI 11 stable update for K20 Pro based on the latest iteration of Android should not surprise many. But what surprised a lot of users is the MIUI 11 update for Redmi K20- the younger sibling of the K20 Pro. Redmi K20 was the first Xiaomi phone in India to get the stable MIUI 11 update, but it was based on Android 9 Pie. Even the Poco F1 which started receiving the update since yesterday is still on Android 9 Pie. This is known from Xiaomi, but the fact that even popular Xiaomi phones are still on Android 9 Pie will disappoint a lot of users out there. As for the Redmi K20 Pro, the MIUI 11 stable update weighs 2.2GB in size and you will require a stable Wi-Fi connection to download the update. We have checked for the MIUI 11 update on our Redmi K20 Pro unit, but no luck. However, a lot of users are posting on Twitter regarding the update arrival on their K20 Pro, so you can manually check for the MIUI 11 stable update by heading over to Settings>My Device>System Update. If the update did not reach your phone, you would have to wait for a while for Xiaomi to begin the broader rollout which will happen only after ten days or two weeks as the company takes feedback from the users who receive the update. MIUI 11 Second Phase Rollout Seems to Have Begun Xiaomi announced the entire rollout schedule of MIUI 11 at the Redmi Note 8 Pro launch event on October 16. The Redmi K20 Pro, despite being the company’s flagship smartphone, is part of the second batch of devices which will receive the MIUI 11 update starting November 4. This surprised a lot of K20 Pro users as the Redmi K20 was in the first batch and became the first Xiaomi phone to pick up MIUI 11 stable update in India. Other Xiaomi smartphones which are part of second batch MIUI 11 rollout are Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5, Redmi Y1, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Y2, Redmi Y1 Lite, Mi Mix and Mi Max.
